From docking to surviving storm waves, everything you need to know before you hit the water
Using hundreds of illustrations and photos, Powerboat Handling Illustrated shows you step-by-step how to do tasks such as docking, trimming, wave handling, and close-quarters maneuvering. These maneuvers are adapted to different types of boats under various conditions.
Master boating educator Bob Sweet takes the mystery out of boat handling and shows you how to perform every maneuver smoothly and effectively. Understand the unique characteristics of planing and displacement hulls, single and dual engines, and outboard, inboard, jet, and stern drives, and make your boat do what you want it to do.
REVIEW
New to power-boating and this is so good. I couldn’t wait to get back out on the water and put some of this theory into practice! He makes it look and sound so easy I probably need to slow down a bit. Let’s just say I was a bit ambitious! ?
However, I did have the book on the boat and it’s easy to refer back to. (Not mid manoeuvre, though!) ?
If you have a power boat I’d recommend this book.
